Message From the President

Marty Morelli

Dear Club Members,

It is hard to believe November is here already, seems like 2014 is just getting started  As we know in our profession time can be critical.  When it comes to working, the years go by quickly but the days can last forever.

Speaking of time, I am pleased to announce our speaker for November 11th  luncheon is The Memphis Cargo Theft Task Force is comprised of members of the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Department and the Memphis Police Department and is designed to connect law enforcement with members of the global trade industry.

Drew Hardin will present case studies of past thefts, analyze the far-reaching effect of cargo theft and discuss ways in which the Memphis Cargo Theft Task Force can train those in the transportation industry to be vigilant in security practices for both moving and stationary freight. Be sure to reserve your seat early for a  great meeting.

It is Election time and we will collect ballots November 11th.  We have a great group of Officers and Board of Directors to lead the 102nd year of the Traffic Club of Memphis. 2015 will be a great year of excellent speakers and exciting networking events

It has been an honor to serve your Club and I appreciate the opportunity to work with a fantastic board and officers.  Thank you all.

See you November 11,

Marty Morelli
